“ My wife and I were a little concerned when the estimated 20 minute wait became closer to 40. We were thinking of leaving just as a table cleared and found out why nobody was leaving: the food was delicious!!! It all tasted so fresh. This place is very cozy, but not quite packed. I noticed the owner straightening out some place mats then came over to check on us. John was very nice and spoke with us for a few minutes and was very friendly and personable. When we were getting ready to leave--and very full--our waitress came over with dessert from John. What a nice touch!!! If we are ever in the area again, we will be sure to return...maybe even bring the kids! Nahhhh! ”
“ Absolutely fantastic! We had corned beef egg rolls, chicken parm egg rolls, Mac and cheese with steak tenderloin tips and flatbread pizza! Both egg rolls were great with the nod going to the parm. Great portion and taste. The real deal not frozen. The Mac and cheese was delicious and the steak tasty and tender. The flatbread pizza was a good sized pizza and very good. An added bonus was the live music. We were in town for the night and read the reviews before we went and they did not disappoint. Both owners were there and both checked with us and were very pleasant. I asked the owner to change the station on one of the t.v's. and on a busy night he was glad to do it. I wish this restaurant and bar were in our neighborhood! ”
“ food was excellent, please please work on your waitress's they need to be involved with customers. had a waitress last night who only came over once to see if everything was ok. then when bill came was standing there waiting until i was ready to pay it told her im not ready .. left and came back 3 minutes later to see if i was done i said no .. tried to clean the table . very unprofessional. ”
“ Yes! If you haven't been, you should check it out. The staff were welcoming and our waitress was kind and very helpful with our choices. We met John Murray, one of the owners. He was friendly and continued to check on the patrons. My husband found a YouTube video about this restaurant and that helped make our decision as to where to have dinner. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and warm. We started off with the chicken parm egg roll. We saw this in the video and we were intrigued. My hubby is not a huge pesto fan but really liked it on the chicken parm egg roll. The egg roll wrapper was fried to perfection and the chicken was moist and flavorful. For dinner we had split the pretzel crusted chicken schnitzel. That was tasty and I never thought of making schnitzel with chicken. I will have to try to make it at home. AND!!! For dessert...you must try the Screwball waffles. Dear lord! Get in my belly!!!! Murray's Tavern is ready for St. Patrick's. Helpful advice, please order proper pint glasses for the poured Guinness. It helps make this Irish draught tasty. Sláinte! ”
“ Murray's was an excellent treat! We were only in town for one night and found live music, great food, fantastic service and lovely bartender! (Clean and warm atmosphere too) Thank you! ”
“ Outstanding! Food, service, atmosphere. Bolognese among best ever. Delicious sauce and pasta was cooked perfectly. Salmon over risotto fantastic. Moist fish and excellent risotto. Flatbread pizza, wings, and chicken parm app also excellent. Drinks perfectly prepared and a top notch wine list. Can't wait to go back. ”
“ The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding. There was a bit of a snafu with the timing of the food, however the staff, including, I believe it was either the manager or the owner went above and beyond what we even expected in remedying the issue. We will definitely be going back. ”
“ Fantastic corner bar, the staff was amazingly welcoming and quick at the bar. Had a beer and a up of chowder and a burger - added the bacon & egg. Delicious. Great beer selection on tap and they had a pistachio martini that everyone else was ordering. Very cool vibe inside, welcoming and warm. Highly recommend! ”
“ While staying in Boston for Head of the Charles race, we came upon a great neighborhood treasure near our hotel in Revere. First night I took the recommendations of my amazing server Christina and ordered the double smash burger with Salt and Vinny fries. The sandwich was amazing..the bread was fresh and the patties were perfectly done. The mayo and condiments made the burger sing. Second day I only ordered the Screwball waffle which was a perfect combination of waffle and Gelato with a rich whisky syrup drizzle. Washed it down with a double espresso and called it a night. If in Revere..You have to visit Murray's. Tell em the guy from Unity recommended you to come! ”
“ Ate at the bar after a long day of travel and as a great experience. Food was good but our bartender was even better. He made for a pleasant evening and had incredible recommendations for two people who were too tired to make dining decisions. This is a hidden gem - I hope that's not the case for long. ”
